If you are a 200 level pharmacy student, this one is aimed straight at you. The Pharmaceutical Association of Nigeria Students (PANS), in collaboration with The APEX Class, is running a free online session titled "The Future Pharmacist's: Entrepreneurship, Technology and Opportunities Beyond the Classroom."

The theme says it all. This is about what your degree can become once you look past lecture halls and exams — the business side of pharmacy, where technology fits in, and the opportunities most students only hear about too late.

It holds on Saturday 18 July 2026 on Google Meet, and there is a catch you need to know about the slots. Read on for the full lineup, the timing, and exactly how to get in.

What's Happening

"The Future Pharmacist's" is a one-evening virtual session organised by PANS in collaboration with The APEX Class. According to the organisers' broadcast, it is "an experience designed to shape the future of pharmacy, one student at a time," with speakers lined up to "share their knowledge, insights, and experiences to equip you for the journey ahead."

The focus is entrepreneurship, technology, and the opportunities that sit beyond the classroom — the parts of a pharmacy career that rarely make it into a course outline. It is built for 200 level pharmacy students across Nigeria, which includes ABUAD's own pharmacy students.

Something different is coming — an experience designed to shape the future of pharmacy, one student at a time.

Who Should Show Up

This is squarely for 200 level pharmacy students. If that is you, the session is worth blocking out two hours for — especially if you have ever wondered what a pharmacy degree looks like outside a hospital or community pharmacy.

Entrepreneurship, technology, and "opportunities beyond the classroom" are exactly the themes that separate students who plan early from those who scramble at final year. Even if business is not your first interest, hearing from a practising pharmacist-entrepreneur and PANS leaders is the kind of exposure that shapes decisions later.

Going for the "opportunities beyond the classroom" angle? Pair it with our internship and SIWES guide so you can turn what you hear into an actual placement. {alertSuccess}

How to Attend or Register

There is no open public sign-up link. Access runs through your school's PANS structure, and slots are limited, so move early. Here is all you need to do:

1
Talk to your class representative. There are only 13 slots per pharmacy school, and the flyer says slots are secured through class representatives. Reach out before they fill up.
2
Confirm your slot and get the Google Meet link. Your class rep or the organisers will share the joining details. Save the link somewhere you will not lose it.
3
Show up on time. Join a few minutes before 7:00 PM WAT on Saturday 18 July 2026. For questions, the convener's contact is 09125481020.
This session is free. No one should ask you to pay to "register," "reserve," or "unlock" a slot — access is through your class representatives, not a payment. If anyone requests money or your bank details to get you in, treat it as a red flag and confirm with the convener on 09125481020 first. {alertWarning}
